sony a550 usa model and import model?

I’m wondering what is the real difference between sony a550 import model and usa model..because the usa model cost around 800-900 bucks ..but the import model cost 595 bucks…so if they say that is not difference…..WHAT’S THE CATCH?..Because I’m planning to buy this one but the difference in price is huge…almost 300 dollars…so please…any advice?

No….the difference is not the lens, the cost with lens in the same site of king…is 595…and 575 only the body…the real catch is that the import model is not supported by the manufacturer which is Sony..means that if you have any damage and you want to use the warranty, you will not be able to do that, you have to arrange with the retailer for repairing the camera,,,that is risky….so THAT ‘S THE CATCH!..THE WARRANTY…SO any damage you must contact the retailer to do that…in another hand…if you buy the USA model you are cover by Sony in United States…also some times the import model is the equivalent model, however not always is the same camera,,,so be careful with that…my advice…wait a little bit until the price for the body get down more and buy the body only…save money for a good lens as minolta build….so my advice …buy the usa model…not the import model…cheap not always is a good investment…

I’m thinking about getting a Sony Ericsson W350 (ice blue) to replace my old phone ( Sony Ericsson Z310a – Lush Pink) because my current phone doesn’t hold a charge, has a big black dot in the middle of the screen, that never goes away, it has horrible speakers, and tons of other problems. and since the Sony Ericsson W350 is free right now- I was wondering what you think of it?(if you own the phone, or did) if you like it- tell me- if it broke easily or something, could you also tell me if you dropped it alot or something?

it’s alright, i don’t own one but i’ve used one and played with my friends’ it’s really light and thin, nothing super special, but i think that it’s still likely to be prone to breakage like the w580i, where because of the thin casing and plastic housing build and stuff.

it feels like if i were to drop it, it would probably crack the screen or make some tiny cracks like with the w580i – very prone to breakage, but just buy a silicone or crystal hard case so that you can have some type of better grip or protection for the phone.

DSLR camera that can take wide screen photos?

Hello,

Sony Alpha 200, 300, 350 at least can do this. They will also run a slide show when connected to a TV.

Even more stuff when connected to certain Sony HDTVs.

The newer 230 and up stuff probably does too, but I haven’t looked at them. They are actually a downgrade from the cameras they replaced.

The new 500 series will do this too, but they aren’t in the stores yet.
