Why cant my computer find my XM radio?
I just bought a Pioneer XM radio GEX-INNO1 from a garage sale for 5 bucks and figured i was getting a good deal because it looked expensive. So when i got home i plugged it into my computer via USB and it couldnt recognize it. It found the device but wouldnt charge it or anything. I dont know how to get it to charge or even get found by my computer,Help me?

What reverb pedal should I buy for a vocal mic?
So i’m a little new to the whole effects and modules and cables n recorders n what not. I’ve been playing electric and acoustic guitar for about 7 years. And I’ve been singing in choirs, classes, jammin with my friends, etc. since the beginning of high school. I’m 21 now and I’ve been in a band for about 6 months. I’m the lead singer, I don’t play guitar for us. But we did a rough recording on a portable 4 track last night and the vocals through the PA just sounded…. blah. Empty. And I know I can sing and it basically took any “scratchiness” or “style” or “normalcy” out of my voice and reduced it to an empty… talking.
I currently use a Sennheiser E835 microphone that’s plugged into a condenser (I don’t know what kind) through a Behringer EUROLIVE B208D Active PA Speaker. I’m not looking for a heavy vocal distortion or reverb. We play sort of a reggae/rock/pop style of music. I’m just looking for a pedal that can make my voice sound… fuller, more normal.

Acondensor is not a stand alone peice of equipment. A condensor is a type of mic.
That mic is not a condensor mic. So if by “plugged into a condensor” you meant “i’m sending phantom power to it” then stop. Don’t send phantom power to that microphone which is a dynamic live vocal mic.
Also you would not normally plug straight into that speaker even though its an active monitor. you should have a small mixer. The reason it sounds flat and empty is because of impediance and maybe even because your sending phantom power to a dynamic mic.
To get more life out of your vox you will need to run that mic into a small mixer. It will sound much better, impediance will be right and balanced, and the mixer will have “sends and returns” that you can run reverb pedals and the like through. But before you worry about reverb you should def hook your mic up correctly. Get a mixer and stop sending phantom power to your mic.

Is there an adapter for a 5 pin DIN male to an XLR plug?
I have an old sennheiser microphone that uses a 5 pin DIN connection. I can’t figure out how to use this mic as I’ve never seen a female 5 pin DIN conenctor thats not a midi cable.
It might be a condenser microphone, and the 5 pin plug would lead to a power/amplifier box, whch has XLR on it.

Consumer electronics especially in the music realm has come a long way. Only 25 years ago, music was store in vinyl 12 inch records which although had relatively good sound, were subject to rpid wear and tear caused by scratching. Then we the consumer electronics giant Phillips with some help from Sony invented the compact disc. The compact disc or CD took the world by storm with its studio-style digital sound quality and durability. The CD was also smaller than the vinyl and therefore easy to store and transport. In the same manner that music storage evolved and developed, so did the musical players. To play the CD the industry came up with CD players and Discman’s which were the CD Player equivalent of the Sony Walkman. This meant that people could actually carry CD-quality music with them wherever they went and this was a great advantage especially to people who were given to the outdoors. As music moved outdoors, so did the speakers. More consumer electronics manufacturers jumped into the idea of producing speakers that could be used outdoors.
Speaking of speakers being outdoors, electronic manufactures realized that more and more people need to listen and enjoy their music outdoors, hence wireless outdoor speakers. Wireless speakers can also be used indoors and have become popular due to their convenience. Wireless speakers work on the same premise as a radio. The tuner, player or music receiver plays the music and a device inside the player converts the music signals into analog signals. Then a decoder inbuilt into the speaker converts the signal back into digital and into sound. This is done instantaneously to where the listener does not notice the conversion.
Wireless speakers as we mentioned have gained their popularity from the fact they are very convenience. Coming in smaller size than conventional speakers, wireless speakers can be placed inconspicuously under the couch and other places where they are not so obvious and where their appearance does not influence the interior decor of a room. This results to less clatter. They can also be positioned strategically where the sound will be best. Because of their smaller size wireless speakers can also be easily transported.
While they do have obvious advantages, wireless speakers are not without critics. One of them is that although they are referred to as wireless, they do indeed have a connecting cable running from the speakers themselves and into the electrical outlet. This is because they need power. IPod wireless outdoor speakers use batteries and can be a cure for this although the music will last as long as there are batteries (if you are outdoors)
Wireless speakers also work the same way a radio works; by receiving signals from a sending device. While this is common technology, it is not perfect because it is subject to interference. If there are other wireless devices in close proximity with the wireless speakers then this can ultimately affect the quality of the sound.

i have two sets of speakers that i want to connect to my Sony home stereo system, in the hope that it will increase and improve and make the sound louder.. the speakers arent the original ones that came with the system, but one pair is also Sony, and the other pair is Pioneer, the impedance of the speakers are all 8 Ω, and on the back of my stereo system it says impedance use: 6 – 16 Ω .. so will connecting the four speakers not be a problem, and when the volumes set to max, will the sound be louder and better?
