DO NOT get sony explods. they are a terrible sub. if you are looking at the cheaper subs from best buy, get one of the kenwoods. sony explods are TERRIBLE subs and WILL NOT hit hard and you WILL NOT be satisfied. you definitely will not be turning heads. i dont know a whole lot about your car with certain setups, but i know that is not a good sub. i know this isnt the news you wanted to hear, but just dont get them

Sound System in a 2002 F150 help?
i have a 2002 ford f150 and my buddy has got 2 10″ MXT subs for sale and a pioneer amp. what would be the best way to put them in the truck im thinking behind the seat is the only way but idk what kind of box i should get. or if there are any other ways i could go about putting the subs in the truck

If it’s a standard cab you can get slanted truck boxes for the subs to go behind the seat. If it’s an extended cab then there is most likely a steel plate under the back seat when you flip it down which leaves no room for subs. I have a 1999 F250 Light Duty, not Super Duty, extended cab (same body and interior as your ’02 F150) and I can’t get subs to go in anywhere so I built a fiberglass console that’s mounted to the transmission hump under the dash with a down firing 8″ sub in the bottom and drink tray on top. I mounted a small bridgeable 50wx2 amp in a second vented open back chamber inside the top of the box also. It don’t pound but it sounds great. I’m sure you could get something similar custom built to accommodate one 10″ sub.
BTW Hondarider….bass IS still sound. You won’t hear or feel much bass from the bed of a truck unless your at a tailgate party or have a huge amount of power on the subs.
