Recommended place to visit in Africa?
Hi, I would like to go back to Africa having been to South Africa & Lesotho (& a day trip to Cairo) a few years ago. Can anyone recommend somewhere good south of the Sahara from experience?
I have looked at Ghana(Accra), Nigeria (Abuja or Lagos), Kenya (Nairobi and Mombassa) 1 or two others.
Particarly looking for decent scenary, safe to walk around, decent sights, opportunities to see (and interact a bit with) wildlife – swimming with dolphins in Bahrain & Israel and with sea turtles in Barbados was amazing – and reasonable infrastructure. A decent beach or two nearby with water activities wouldn’t go amiss either!!

Their are many beautiful places in Africa, since you have experienced the South of the Africa region and a little of the North, I suggest you try the East like Ethiopia & Kenya or The West like Ghana, Senegal, & Nigeria. Those parts Have beautiful beaches, tourist attractions, reasonable infrastructure and etc and they have the best when it comes to unaltered rich, diverse & tribal culture, but if your looking for good Wildlife go to Kenya but besides that try African countries like Ghana:

Most shows that I attend, the music is far too loud, making it unpleasureable to be there, and never to go there again.

sony 16-105 vs sigma 24-70 vs tamron 17-50?
Ive currently got a Sony Alpha A700 and want to upgrade the kit lens that came with it.
I normally shoot family and friends at party’s inside and outside. I have read a number of review and was edging towards the sigma 24-70 ex but it is a full frame lens . Any opinion of the following three lenses will be appreciated

I think a good one would be Tamron AF 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di-II LD SP ZL Aspherical (IF) Zoom Lens for Konica Minolta
-The Tamron is heavier and more sturdy than the Sony lens.
-It has better sharpness throughout the frame, but especially in the corners; it’s slightly soft at f2.8 (though still better than the kit lens) and gets sharper as you stop it down.
-Using it for indoor or nighttime shooting is great compared to the kit lens.
-The aperture is 2.8 throughout the zoom range, meaning that you don’t lose light when you zoom in towards 50mm.
-The macro works decently well, especially with the narrow depth of field you get with a big aperture.

I’m looking for a good-quality in-dash GPS Navigation system compatible with a 2007 Honda Civic LX?
I was looking at both the Pioneer AVIC-D3 (or Z2 with the backup camera) or the Magellan Maestro 4250. Any other suggestions that can fit into a car like mine (or a Scion tC for that matter) that has a double-deck audio system or the like?
The Avic D3 or Z2 is what I would go with.
