Sony W518a Headset

Sony Ericsson W810

Features

The W810 is part of Sony Ericsson’s Walkman line of mobile phones. While being similar to the W800, the W810 has benefited from several improvements. Most notably are quad band connectivity, EDGE support for faster wireless data transfers, a slightly enhanced display, but slightly reduced battery life.

Other features include a full function internet browser, 2 Megapixel digital camera with auto-focus, the HPM-70 stereo headset, Memory Stick PRO Duo slot, 20 MB of internal memory, and a music-only mode where phone functions are fully turned off, this mode also allows the phone to be used as a Walkman in areas mobile phones would usually be barred from, such as airplanes and hospitals, in addition to providing longer battery-life. The phone supports MP3, AMR, MIDI, IMY, EMY, WAV (16 kHZ maximum sample rate) and AAC audio formats and MPEG-4 and 3GPP video formats.

While official support for Memory Stick PRO Duo is capped at 4 GB, users have reported using 16 GB sticks with full functionality (read and write), though at larger sizes, some functions (boot time, media playback, and file retrieval, for example) are slower.

Cosmetics

Sony Ericsson W810i rear

There are many small cosmetic changes from the W800, but most noticeable is the absence of the classic joystick that has been found on the majority of Sony Ericsson mobile phones since the T68i. This has been replaced by a D-pad designed to improve ease of use when listening to music and to provide a longer life to the keypad (as the classic joystick tended to fail due to dust). The casing color has changed from burnt orange and cream to satin black. The sliding camera lens cover has also been omitted completely. However, a K750i or W800 back cover (with lens cover) will fit with minor modifications.

Availability

The Sony Ericsson W810 is available as the W810i for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and North America, and the W810c for mainland China. The W810 was released worldwide in April 2006. A white color variation of the W810 was released on 20 June 2006. and is currently available on AT&T in the USA and O2 in the United Kingdom. The W810i is available in both black and white on Rogers Wireless in Canada.

How do you make it possible to watch movies while car is moving? Its not for me its for my passengers. Please help.

yes, you just have to wire the parking break chord to the back of the p break instead of the front. (wire it to ground)

if this dosent work:
Under the unit, there is a silver sticker. remove sticker. there are two solder points under sticker. You need to solder a jumper between the two points. either a piece of wire, or just create the jumper from the solder. I will warn you. Be careful to not over heat the area. Also, this will void your warranty.

huh, that one guy gave us all thumbs down… punk.

please dont be in idiot and try to watch a movie while driving.

Turtle Beach Maui

Maui Snuba is the Perfect Blend of Scuba and Snorkeling

The beautiful island of Maui attracts visitors with its beautiful beaches, abundant sea life, and warm teal waters. Some water sport adventurers prefer Maui’s snorkeling, floating languidly at the surface and gliding gently through the water, hovering above the sea life they are viewing. This is a comfortable place for those who have not spent a great deal of time in the ocean, but it can sometimes be difficult to get an up-close view of the sea life. Generally, only advanced snorkelers have the ability to dive down and completely submerge.

Others prefer to scuba dive in Maui, becoming completely immersed in the underwater world. Scuba allows you the freedom to really explore your surroundings, but it involves wearing cumbersome equipment and going through a lengthy certification process. This may not be very convenient for the person who only swims in the ocean once or twice each year, or is on a short vacation.

Maui Snuba offers the best of both worlds. It allows the swimmer to swim at any depth with which they are comfortable, limited only by the length of the air hose they breathe from. There is no lengthy certification process, and the swimmer does not need to wear any bulky equipment.

How Maui Snuba Works

Snuba is a patented system that allows the swimmer to breathe through a 20-foot hose. The air line is attached to a traditional scuba tank, which is mounted on a small, lightweight raft. As the swimmer moves through the water, the raft follows along. The only equipment the swimmer needs to wear while submerged is a mask, fins, and a light harness attached to your Maui Snuba raft.

A swimmer can remain submerged below the surface for up to an hour at a time in the waters of Maui. Snuba also offers the freedom to swim near the surface or dive deeper, depending upon the swimmer’s comfort level. This allows the Maui Snuba participant much greater freedom to explore coral reefs, or follow schools of tropical fish or the graceful sea turtles.

Certification is easy and only involves a 15 to 20 minute safety and equipment familiarization briefing. All Maui Snuba operators are experienced dive professionals who will not only provide you with your initial introduction, but will remain in the water with you in the event you need assistance.

Anyone in good health can enjoy Snuba, including children at least eight years of age. Those who have heart conditions or are asthmatic should not participate.

Where to Snuba in Maui

Many of the dive and snorkel tour operators in Maui also offer Snuba. These combined snorkel/Snuba or dive/Snuba boat tours visit all of the popular dive and snorkel locations, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the plentiful sea life that lives in Maui. Snuba is a great experience for young and old, as interacting with the miracles of underwater sea life is an incredible experience for anyone visiting Maui.

Molokini Crater is a popular area for Maui Snuba adventures. Not all of the dive locations within the Molokini Crater area are accessible to snorkelers, but several can be explored and enjoyed by Snuba – allowing you to see much more of the exciting sea life that lives in the Molokini underwater oasis.

The many turtle habitats visited by dive and snorkel boat tours are also an excellent place to for Maui Snuba. The turtles glide slowly through the water, and it is possible to swim along near them for extended periods of time. Snuba allows you the opportunity to interact more closely with these graceful underwater creatures, perfecting your Maui experience.

If you are visiting Maui, Snuba should be considered for your list of adventures. Your enhanced underwater experience will make you glad you did.

How To Buy UL Labels

UL stands for Underwriter Laboratories, which is an organization that is an independent, not-for-profit product safety certification organization that has been testing products for consumer safety for many years. Many of these products require a label to designate that the product has passed the UL inspection and is safe for the consumer.

UL labels can be complicated to understand because different label material is specified for different surfaces they are adhered to. If your product is aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and has acrylic paint, epoxy paint and porcelain, there is a material that will work and help keep your costs down as long as your temperature range is no higher than 150 C or 302 F and no lower than -40 C or -40 F.

Buying this UL label material will not cover your application if your surface is an acrylic powder coat paint, polyester powder coat paint, epoxy powder coat paint or urethane powder coat paints in the same temperature range. This application requires a much different pressure sensitive label to meet the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) standards.

Labels developed for use as UL marking require a printer and ink match if the customer is printing the label in house. Zebra, IIMAK, Sony and ITW all have UL approved ink that works in the most popular thermal transfer printers in the market. IMMAK designates their ribbon as the SP-330 and SH-36 series. ITW just announced they have a B324 Broad Spectrum resin ribbon that is now approved for about eleven 3M label stocks.

Saving money on UL/CSA labels is the opportunity here. Without expert help, a customer can pay way too much for a very high end ribbon and label combination that may be approved for any surface, when all you need is the correct combination to fit your specific product material.

The first think you need to know on how to buy UL labels is the surface material the label is going to adhere to. Once this surface material is identified, then the temperature range is needed. Pressure sensitive label materials for UL use come in silver, white and clear. The white can be flood coated with other colors to match any customer need. Chose the material color, size and quantity and you are ready to order your UL labels and get the correct match for your application.

Documentation is the key if a customer ever gets inspected. All UL approved label stock will have the proper documentation to support the use in your facility. If you are printing on a thermal transfer printer, the same documentation is available for the ribbon you are to use.
