If you are in United States, you should go for Kindle 2 for sure. Kindle can have books stored on computer too. My 74 y/o dad found this expensive faceplate in the case just lying on the street. I would like to find the owner. I have contacted Pioneer but have not received an answer back. Anybody have any ideas? Should I turn it over to the police or look for the owner?

Can anyone give me the region unlock code for a pioneer computer dvd player?
i have an hp pavillion dv6000 laptop with a pioneer dvdrw dr-kd08hb dvd player. the only region unlock codes i have been able to find are for dv and dvr models, not dr. does anyone have any suggestions?
There is a small program called DVD Region+CSS Free
I travel extensively internationally and have many CDs and DVDs from different regions all over.
I installed this about 5 years ago and it works fine, It overrides the region lock codes and the device that limits the amount of changes in region that you can make.
Note: you can install it on a PC, laptop or other, but you cannot install it on a remote player.
It is not expensive and you can download it from http://www.dvdidle.com/download.htm
Once you have registered/purchased it you can always get a new install code from them if you have to change PC
I find that it works fine as once installed, it runs unnoticed in the background and all you have to do to play a disc is just to insert it.
